Ari
Ross is a native of Los Angeles California (Yes...he was the one who was
actually born there!)
When Ari was but a lad, his father (actor/ragtime music composer Ron Ross, who,
among other things, played recurring characters on classic shows such as
Night Court & Hill Street Blues) drove him
over to a voice-over class, dropped him off and said "Don't come home
until you can do a decent "Droopy Dog" imitation and a fabulous
"Non Announcer - Announcer!" ... Ok, maybe it didn't go exactly that
way...
.…And
the rest, as they say, is history.
Some of that history includes 65+ Voice overs for "The Tonight Show with
Jay Leno" as well as projects for numerous companies including: Apple
Computer, Suzuki, Toyota, IBM, US West, Pontiac, Four Seasons Resorts,
Toshiba, Universal Studios and Sony. Currently, Ari is one of the main
corporate voices of Verizon (Telephone/Television/Fios/Internet).
Ari has also acted on-camera in roles for various TV and film projects such as
"The Tonight Show" "Tango & Cash," "California Convertible," "Love
Secrets" "Man, Woman & Child" and others.
Ari voices for Commercials, Cartoons, TV Promos and Movie Trailers and has even done voices
for a few toys - including the best-selling "Talking Peek-a-boo
Zoo."
Ari has Voice matched actors for several projects including "Russell
Crowe" in "LA Confidential," Quentin Tarantino & Steve
Buscemi in "Reservoir Dogs" as well as also replacing dialogue
for various characters in several Jackie Chan films.
In the late 90's, Ari recognized early that clients would possibly
utilize this growing Internet thing for V/O file transmission and thus built
his studio with
Internet transfer capabilities as well as ISDN (high quality real time audio
transmission) so that he could work for folks beyond the confines of the Los
Angeles area and "be" virtually anywhere. (no clients on the
Moon... as of yet!)
If you need anything utilizing male V/O, have a listen to Ari's demos for some
wonderful surprises!
